Mark Your Calendars for 19th Amendment Centennial

Let’s celebrate! Many events are coming up to honor the 100 year anniversary of the 19th Amendment giving most women the right to vote. There will be no Civic Buzz next month. Plan instead to attend LWVMpls’ big fundraiser in November to support our work making sure that everyone has fair access to voting. The Hennepin History Museum is developing an exhibition on the ratification of the 19^th amendment that will open in November of 2019. Their focus will be on the suffrage movement in Hennepin County. If you have any relevant historical artifacts that you would be willing to temporarily loan to the museum to display in the exhibit please contact the curator, Alyssa Thiede. Please spread the word!
