As of September 2019, We the People has new hosts, Catherine Shreves and Doris Baylor, and we will continue the tradition of coordinating the show with the LWVMpls monthly topic.

In September, the LWVMpls topic is “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.” “We the People” will host James C. Burroughs II, who is Chief Equity & Inclusion Officer with Children’s Hospital of Minnesota, and recently served as the chief officer of Diversity and Inclusion for the State of Minnesota. 

“We the People” will explore with Mr. Burroughs what this work means: how it helps develop policies and procedures that promote hiring and retention of employees of color, fosters partnerships with communities of color and other diverse communities, and addresses barriers that cause health disparities in communities of color.
