LWVMpls Advisor working in Somalia

Zainab Hassan credits her involvement with the League of Women Voters to contributing to her views in participating and practicing democracy.  She is now working in Somalia to make sure women are granted access to the parliamentary election in 2016. An article in the Star Tribune on July 12 describes her efforts.  Zainab was an Advisor to LWVMpls until she was asked to return to her birth country to revive the National Library of Somalia.
