CIVIC BUZZ RESUMES TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 3rd
Here’s another opportunity to examine the issues of ‘Diversity, Equity and Inclusion’. We will listen to Carol Anderson, via video, discuss her New York Times best seller “White Rage,” followed by a short discussion led by Dyan Venters and Anne McLaughlin.
Professor Anderson is the Charles Howard Candler Professor and Chair of African American studies at Emory University. We think ongoing open acknowledgement of these issues and our feelings about them in a safe space is a basis for healing. Not only does healing through truth and reconciliation depend on this open sharing, as Carol Anderson demonstrates, our entire Democracy depends on our understanding white rage and its impact.
