Title: Making Voting a Tradition in the Native American Community
Date: Thursday, October 6
Time: 7:00 p.m.
Jolene Jones of the Native American Community Development Institute (NACDI) will speak about NACDI's work to make voting a tradition in the Native American community. One-third of the Native Americans in Minnesota live in the greater Twin Cities area, so NACDI, located in Minneapolis, is well positioned for its civic engagement work. League members on the Voter Services Committee will remember what a dynamic and interesting speaker Jolene is. Jolene's tribal affiliations are Ojibwe, White Earth, and Lac Courte Oreilles.
